Twinsie Thursday - One Stroke Flowers

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

It is time for another Twinsie Thursday! Lothwen and I decided to venture into a medium we both have never stroke flowers! We decided to go with a blue and coral color scheme. I've been practicing for a while now, but this is as good as they have ever gotten!

Triplet Nails - Cats

Hello lovelies!

OK first of all, I kinda totally took the easy way out on this one, I just did not have time for proper nail art. The theme was animals this month and our class was mammals. So we had tooooo many options and hence decided on pets. And then we all had cats, so we settled on cats ;) OK I don't actually have a cat, but my parents do, so it counts ;) Here are my nails.

Franken your own polish with BornPrettyStore!

Hello lovelies!

I made this glitter polish myself (!) using glitter and mixing balls from! What do you think? You can now order glitter that is enough for a small, 4-7 ml nail polish bottle and add some mixing balls for it to work. Here's what you start with:

#RedCoatTuesday - Pretty Serious "Viscous Vampire"

Hello lovelies,

Another #RedCoatTuesday and this one features a pretty that I won in Sassy Shelly's giveaway! I won the Overall Beauty's prize pack and the mystery polish was a new brand that is featured there: Pretty Serious. My first Pretty Serious pretty and it goes by the awesome name "Viscous Vampire". Perfect, I figured, for a PLL tribute, since that has many bloody messes... I did a skittlette and that sort of goes with FingerFood's Theme Buffet (although the theme is skittle, but I don't think I will be able to do another mani..)

#RedCoatTuesday Special - The 100th Episode!

Hello lovelies,

Tonight we celebrate the 100th episode of the show that inspired all this: Pretty Little Liars. Ali's back. Her mom 6 feet under. Spencer's dad? What did he do? And what's up with Melissa? And is it true, will Caleb return tonight? Oh goodies! Well until it airs (and since I'm not in the US, until I get my hands on the episode), let's look at all the red manis and other make-up art!

FingerFood's Theme Buffet: Patriotic

Hi lovelies!

I joined FingerFood's Theme Buffet and today's theme is Patriotic! Well that was convenient, since we, the Dutch Football Team, were playing the quarter finals of the World Cup yesterday and that called for another mani!
I used Maybelline Color Show "Wow Orange" on my tips, which I taped off with some scotch tape. Then I added Let It Glitter "Hup Holland Hup" to get all sorts of orange in there :) I have done two other manis with this pretty, look here and here!

I also quickly did my mom's nails :D

Needless to say, we won! (Albeit after a nerve-wrecking game and penalty shoot-outs; we deserved it.)

Guest Post by Lady Maid Nails

Hello readers!

So the lovely Lothwen is working on her graduation! Since she's running out of time, she does not have time to blog. She reached out for some guest help and I was happy to help out. I'm Mandy of Lady Maid Nails on Instagram and over on my blog. For today I created a 'sexy and classy' look for you as Lothwen described it. I couldn't agree more! I recently won a collection from Above The Curve Nail Polish, so today I have some art and a quick review.

OPI Push and Shove nail art attempt

Hello lovelies,

I'm here again for a little. I had a party, so I required party nails. I decided to get my OPI "Push and Shove" from the Gwen Stefani collection finally out of the box and paint my nails with it. You probably read all kinds of reviews on this one, and know by now that you have to (HAVE TO) use the complimentary base coat "Lay Down That Base" first. So there I went:
